Architects Patterson & Co specified an external lift shaft for the commercial refurbishment of Site 3, formerly the historic Auckland city stables. The brief also called for raw, industrial-style materials for both the shaft and the lift.
We worked closely with the architects to ensure the lift met design specifications. These determined a fully glazed lift with a galvanised steel cage to enhance the industrial feel of the building.
